01
Who you are dealing with
Who runs this website, and who your contract is with.
Companies
I run two companies, and which one is on your contract matters legally. Depending on where you are based, your contract is with one of them:
- Hidn, s.r.o. — registered office Panónska cesta 3813/4A, 851 04 Bratislava, Slovakia. Company ID (IČO) 52443566, tax ID (DIČ) 2121032837, VAT number SK2121032837; Commercial Register of the Bratislava III City Court, section Sro, entry no. 138182/B. The default for clients in the EU and the rest of the world; invoicing in EUR.
- JH webstudio Ltd — private limited company registered in England and Wales, company number 08104308, registered office 12 Skerry Close, Manchester M13 9UD. VAT number GB244125925. The default for UK clients; invoicing in GBP.
Both owe you the same obligations. Your contract and every invoice name the one company you are dealing with — that company invoices you, and you pay only that company.

Contact
For anything on this page — data requests, contract questions, complaints — write to [email protected] and tell me which company you contracted with.
02
Privacy
What we collect, why, and how long we keep it.
Who is responsible
The controller for personal data you send through this website is Hidn, s.r.o., Panónska cesta 3813/4A, 851 04 Bratislava. If your project is contracted through JH webstudio Ltd, the details needed for the contract and invoicing are passed to it, and it becomes the controller for those purposes.
What we collect
From the contact form: your name, email, company (if you give one) and whatever you write in the message. Nothing else. Cookies are described below. If we work together, we also hold project correspondence, any access credentials you give us, and invoicing details.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry, to deliver the work you’ve engaged us for, and to meet our accounting obligations. The legal basis for the contact form is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). We don’t sell data, we don’t build marketing profiles, and we won’t add you to a newsletter you didn’t ask for.
How long
Enquiries that don’t become projects: 12 months, then deleted. Project records: as long as tax law requires — up to ten years in Slovakia and six in the UK. Credentials: deleted at handover unless you ask us to keep them for ongoing support.
Cookies
One necessary cookie, jh_consent, remembers your cookie choice for six months. Analytics cookies from Google Analytics (_ga and _ga_*), which count visits and page views, are only set if you accept them in the cookie bar. You can change your mind any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer — withdrawing consent deletes the analytics cookies. We use no advertising cookies.
Processors
We use third parties for web hosting, email, file storage, code hosting, accounting and website analytics (Google Analytics, only with your consent). The current list is available on request.
Your rights
Under the GDPR and the UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and you’ll get a response within 30 days. You can also complain to the Slovak Office for Personal Data Protection or the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
03
Terms of engagement
The commercial basics. The engagement letter is what actually governs a project.
Scope and estimates
Estimates are based on the brief as given. If the brief changes, I re-estimate before doing the work — rather than absorbing it silently or surprising you on the invoice.
Payment
Projects are billed 50% up front and 50% on delivery, or against milestones for longer builds. Retainers are billed monthly in advance. Payment terms are 14 days from invoice unless agreed otherwise.
Ownership
On full payment, all code, designs and assets I produce for you are yours outright — including the right to modify them or hand them to another developer. I keep no licence back and never hold your work hostage. Pre-existing open-source components keep their own licences, which I list at handover.
Confidentiality
I sign a mutual NDA before discussing specifics, and it survives the end of the project. White-label work is never credited to me publicly, and appears in my portfolio only with the agency’s explicit permission. The projects in my portfolio are shown with each client’s permission.
Warranty
Bugs in what I built are fixed free of charge for 30 days after launch. After that, fixes are billable or covered by a retainer. Changes to third-party platforms and plugins aren’t warranty items.
Liability
Liability is limited to the fees paid for the affected work. Professional indemnity insurance is in place; details on request.
