Project
Kubínska hoľa
Development and maintenance since 2021, live cameras and language versions.
About the project
SKI PARK Kubínska hoľa is a ski resort in Orava, northern Slovakia, which also runs as a bike park in summer. I started developing the website in 2021 and have maintained it ever since. The design was by the Muchahad studio; I was responsible for development and ongoing maintenance.
The key idea
A visitor needs to know two things — whether the slopes are open and what it costs. The site shows both on the first screen.
Responsive version
Every section is responsive — the layout adapts from mobile through tablet to a widescreen monitor, and the content stays readable at any width.
Live cameras and current conditions
The site has live cameras from the slopes built in, along with an overview of current conditions — temperature, lift status and opening hours. This information is updated on the page continuously.
Editable ACF blocks
The site is built from ACF blocks — the client can edit, move or add any section themselves, without touching code and without having to call me for every change.
More subpages
Besides the winter section, the site covers the bike park, events and visitor information, and is available in Slovak, English and Polish.
